The Humane Society of Morocco / Société Protectrice des Animaux du Maroc (HSM/SPA du Maroc) is pleased to announce that the Moroccan justice system has dismissed the case against its founder and president, Ali Izddine (阿里-伊兹丁)。
This decision confirms the baseless nature of the accusations brought against him, which sought only to harm his personal integrity and weaken our mission to protect animals in Morocco.
For several weeks, a disinformation campaign, orchestrated by certain institutional actors, attempted to discredit more than twenty years of recognized commitment to animal rights。
In this context, Ali Izddine was unjustly targeted as a whistleblower, denouncing the mass and systematic extermination of stray dogs in Morocco。
This harassment highlights the difficulty – and the necessity – of publicly exposing practices that run contrary to Morocco’s international commitments and to fundamental principles of dignity and humanity。
Despite these attacks, the HSM/SPA du Maroc remains fully committed to its mission:
Ending the massacres of stray dogs
Promoting humane and sustainable alternatives
Raising awareness of animal protection nationally and internationally
